Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Fans' Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been intense.

Season 1 presents a large cast of characters residing in Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner commented recently. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 moves, and how many of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people create a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on October 29.
