Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
