19 of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hardcourt
A comeback the Russian player claimed his first championship for 882 days with victory over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has had a challenging season, achieving just a single victory at the big events and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in especial - caused him falling of the elite rankings and finally separating with long-time mentor his previous coach.
Now collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has gradually advanced in the past month - peaking in a hard-fought competitive victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial title after the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface from March of that year.
Victory also indicates the Russian has secured twenty-one titles at twenty-one various competitions.
"For the first time I'm at a event with my two daughters together, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," commented tennis professional Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, including in the German tournament in the past months.
Medvedev's defensive play style and frequent reactions on court had prompted some to wonder if his capacity to play at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has made changes in the past month, striving to come to the net and perform positively, reinforced by an enhanced serve.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, winning four of the final five exchanges to go ahead.
The competitors exchanged break points in the following set before the challenger, striving for his maiden professional title, gained dominance to push for a final set.
He saved four early opportunities in a tight final set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Appropriately, he secured the title with a point at the front of the court, with his opponent unable to control a shot after a lengthy match.
